Will Obama Choose Hilary: Part II

A couple months ago - just after Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton conceded the Democratic party nomination - we published an editorial on whether it would be beneficial for Obama and the nation to choose Clinton as his vice president. We wrote this article from a Taoist I Ching perspective, which at the time appeared to suggest that an Obama-Clinton "duo" would be too heavy for the nation. Obama's advisors told press representatives that he was "probably" not going to choose Hillary as his veep.

Recently, the New York Times published an article stating that Obama's top advisors were counseling him against choosing Hillary as his VP. Last week saw obama on the campaign trail, along with political colleague Evan Bayh, making trips to various political rallies and venues to discuss his policy and platform. This partnership between Obama and Bayh has pundits questioning whether Obama is considering Bayh.

We think it fascinating and intriguing, the I Ching's prophetic insight on this one. We do not know which came first: the Obama crew's apparent choice not to go with Hillary, or the I Ching's counsel that he not go with Hillary. Of course, nothing's etched in stone; Obama might yet choose Hillary. Nevertheless, it appears that Obama's chief political advisors are in tune with cosmic laws and principles. This is a good sign - a very good sign, indeed - that Sen. Barack Obama - despite contradictory claims of his lack of political experience - has a top-notch staff around him.
